Old PAMPERING with english
Stavljanje nakita neka bude zadnja stvar ujutro, a skidanje nakita prva navečer

1
Immersion in acidic liquids such as alcoholic vinegar will soften the surface layer and make the cleaning easier. If you do not have any of the above, toothpaste can also be used for polishing. It is very important that you always keep pearls, corals and other beads outside the surface of the acidic liquid so that their shine is not going to be damaged during the process.
2
After five minutes of soaking, gently rub the surface with a cotton towel, because then the darkened layer is removed, and the beautiful golden color will shine again.
3
Rinse with clean water so that the acid does not continue to corrode the brass.
4
The last step is drying with a cotton towel. Don’t skip it because chlorides in the water can leave white stains on the brass surface. If this happens, you can remove them by repeating this procedure.

Note: gold-plated brass (like Bongo earrings) does not need to be polished as it will not change the color.

The best, of course, is preventive measures:
Putting on jewelry should be the last thing in the morning, and removing jewelry first in the evening
Remove jewelry when cleaning, dyeing your hair, bathing or showering - chemicals can cause darkening of the brass
Do not apply perfume or deodorant directly to jewelry
It is advisable to take off your jewelry before bed
Store it in a dry place protected from the Sun
Before storing, wipe the jewelry with a soft cotton towel to remove sweat and dirt.
